Sunday Tasting: Nebbiolo

This week we’re focusing on one of our favorite grape varietals: Nebbiolo.  It's origin is Northwest Italy and it's the the star of Barolo and Barbaresco.  But did you know that Nebbiolo is also the main grape variety in regions in northern Piemonte like Boca, Lessona, Gattinara and Ghemme?  It's fame also extends to Lombardia, where it's locally known as "Spanna" in the DOCs Valtellina and Valtellina Superiore.  And although we know Nebbiolo mostly as a red wine, there's rosé and sweet wines too.  Join us to find out more!
