Now far be it for me to tell you that the cocktails are the best part of Wally's Beverly Hills. My wine aficionado partners would never let me hear the end of it. However, if you're just not in the mood for a velvety smooth Merlot or a well-rounded Pinot, Wally's bar has a nice selection of cocktails that most anyone can find to their liking. Below are just a few of the ones that caught our fancy but maybe not favor.

The Elder Dragon and Maple Creek both hit the spot. What more do you want from a whiskey cocktail than to just add a little twist on the classic, and the Maple Creek does just that. The house made syrup did overpower the whiskey and just enhanced the flavor. The Elder Dragon did the same to this tequila mix but did it with just the right blend of the liquor and Bitter Lemon.

By all accounts however the Beverly Lemonberry didn't quite hit the mark and tasted, well, antiseptic. Which was a damn shame considering..... So the take away is, next time you're at Wally's, the vinos are sure to please but they've also got some tempting libations for the discerning palette.

The Elder Dragon: Casa Dragones Blanco tequila, St. Germain elderflower liquor, Fever Tree Bitter Lemon.

Maple Creek: Wally's Knob Creek Barrel Blend, soda-water, house made maple-cinnamon-ginger syrup

Beverly Lemonberry: Chopin vodka, Wally's seasonal wild berry and lemon grass syrup, Fever Tree bitter lemon soda
