I charged my Plug-In Prius for the first time this weekend at a Chargepoint charging station. It was excellent. The charger was easy to use, it was located inside a public parking garage with one hour of parking free, the parking space was right in the front “primo parking”, it was a half block from where I was going AND IT WAS FREE!!!

I like cool things. And cool things are things I get excited about. Something new, different, unique, smart, efficient, beautiful, delicious. I love cycling and the Rapha brand. I like efficient cars and recently upgraded from my 2006 Prius to a 2012 Plug-In Prius. I love food and have started to recently OD on Coolhaus gourmet ice cream sandwiches. I post things here because I’m convinced there are other people, like me, who love these same things. Tell me, what do you love?

Vanity Plate Contest
Ok, so my new Prius Plug-In Hybrid is on it’s way and will be here soon. One of my friends gave me a great vanity plate idea but it’s technically already taken (although we “could” spell it funny and it will still work). In the mean time, I thought I would put it out there to you guys to see what you would come up with. Just in case you don’t live in Cali, we have 7 digits on our license plates. Oh and remember this car does take “gas” but allows for charging the battery and running off of electricity only for at least 11 miles before kicking into the normal Prius hybrid engine. I’ll come up with some awesome prize for the winner! What’s your best idea for my “personalized plate”?
Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid
They’re not available until March 2012 but I am SOOOO getting one of these! It’s exactly what the world needs - full electricity for 15 miles and then the gasoline hybrid engine kicks in. Only bummer is that the battery is clearly not big enough to push that all-electric 15 miles to something more significant like 40 or 50 miles. But I’ll take it! What do you think?
