Eat, then Drink: A delicious twist on brunch in a Mediterranean atmosphere.
Beautiful Sunday in Los Angeles? Feel like kicking back with friends over some awesome food and cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere? Then a.o.c. on 3rd Street in West Hollywood is perfect for you!
Settle into your courtyard table that could be straight out of Italy or France, order one of the finely crafted cocktails from the bar (see the "Spirits" post for more details) and be prepared to eat, eat, eat. Luckily there were 6 in my party for today's visit, so we tackled the menu family style to much encouragement by the staff.
Staples such as steak and eggs, chicken and waffles, and eggs benedict take on new life. With the chef's magic touch, we now have flat iron steak with roast potatoes and brussel sprouts, Spanish fried chicken on a cornmeal waffle (yum!), and LA style eggs benedict without the hollendaise.
If that weren't enough, the simple omelete is pure bliss, and pulled pork is given an AM twist with a poached egg, spinach, and roasted potatoes. Everything is accompanied by house made sourdough bread.
If you haven't already been to a.o.c., make that reservation now and brace yourself for a treat.
