Watch a Preview for Knife Fight, Premiering Sept. 24

The Esquire Network has announced that Top Chef winner Ilan Hall’s new show Knife Fight will premiere on September 24th. The show was originally set to air this past April, but NBC Universal decided to postpone the release of the Esquire Network — a rebranding of the G4 network — by a few months to create “more original programming.”

The concept of Knife Fight remains the same. The show puts two chefs in competition with each other at Hall’s LA restaurant The Gorbals in front of “a rowdy crowd, including friends, neighbors, and an eclectic group of celebrities, food professionals and die-hard foodies .” The first episode will pit British chef Brendan Collins (Waterloo & City, LA) against French chef David Feau (Le Ka, LA),

SNL: THE CALIFORNIANS – DRESS REHEARSAL

SNL has just released the dress rehearsal for one of the most popular posts on SISFTI, the SNL skit “The Californians”. Every week, shortly before SNL goes live, they do a complete run-through of the show complete with a studio audience so they can get one last rehearsal in, and trim down the show to make sure it fits in the time allotted. As you can see, it doesn’t always go so smoothly, which makes it even more hilarious, fully.

Naia Kete is on Kickstarter!!!

I’m sure you’ve all seen my posts over and over and over again about the lovely, amazing, gorgeous Naia Kete. Naia was recently featured on NBC’s hit show THE VOICE performing for Team Blake (Shelton). Naia came to our house to perform for our friends twice last summer (the second time was the same day as my bike crash so I could only watch from upstairs hidden from the world) and she also performed at Tere’s birthday bash in February. Needless to say, we’re big fans of Naia’s. Here’s your chance to be a part of her future! Do it! :)

Ok everyone, listen up! This girl is going places and you’re going to start seeing me post a lot about her. NAIA KETE was selected to be on THE VOICE this past summer and last night her audition premiered on the NBC show. She crushed it and had to decide between Blake Shelton and CeeLo Green. She went with Blake. :)

We met NAIA back in the summer when she came to perform at our house. We’ve had two amazing Sunday afternoons of Naia’s music and she recently did two sets at Tere’s 50th birthday party, again at our house. She’s amazing and she’s about to be on fire so YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! :)

It’s true!!

We thought it would never happen. When we reported that comedian Ana Gasteyer had spilled the beans on a new Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor based on a Saturday Night Live skit that pokes fun at NPR, we thought it would n… — **It’s true!!**

We thought it would never happen. When we reported that comedian Ana Gasteyer had spilled the beans on a new Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor based on a *Saturday Night Live* skit that pokes fun at NPR, we thought it would never happen.

But we were wrong. Ben & Jerry’s announced today that “Schweddy Balls” ice cream is on its way to store shelves across the country.

As we explained in June, “in case you don’t get the reference, the skit is a hilarious commentary on NPR’s, um, uniquely soothing sound. [Alec] Baldwin plays Pete Schweddy, a guest on a fake NPR show called Delicious Dish. Pete makes holiday treats like cheese balls, popcorn balls, rum balls and his famous Schweddy balls. The skit is an exercise in double entendres.”

We talked to Ben & Jerry’s spokesman Sean Greenwood and asked him, “What are you guys thinking?” We were imagining someone who’s never seen the skit walking the grocery aisles and stumbling on the flavor.

Greenwood laughed.

“We’ve always been a company that has had a sense of humor,” he said. Sometimes, he said, they spend time discussing serious business and other times “we just do fun.”

“This is just plain silly,” he said. And it tastes pretty good, he promised.

The flavor is made up of “vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and is loaded with fudge covered rum balls and milk chocolate malt balls.”

It’ll be available for a limited time in about 30 percent of stores that carry Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
