I’m sure many of you here in Los Angeles saw last week that the first LA Diner en Blanc took place on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.  1300 people showed up dressed in white for dinner.  It looked amazing!

The Eat+Drink Supper Club had our own mini diner en blanc a couple weeks ago with our french David Feau dinner.  It WAS amazing!

Well now there is a documentary about this phenomenon called “Diner en Blanc: The World’s Largest Dinner Party”.  I don’t know what it is about this trailer but it made me cry.  Maybe it’s the collective goal of everyone coming together to have an amazing dinner.  Maybe it’s that my lovely friend from France, Jacqueline, told me about this months and months ago.  I don’t know.  But I love it.

Last night’s FIRST Los Angeles Diner en Blanc was a HIT!  Yay!  I wasn’t there but it looked like a GREAT time was had by all!

The Los Angeles Diner en Blanc

With the first Los Angeles White Dinner about a month away, everyone’s starting to hype it up.  Eater LA has a bit about it too.  But you guys have known about it for months, haven’t you?

From Eater LA: “The self-named “worldwide Epicurean phenomenon” imported from France, Diner de Blanc, is finally coming to L.A., after making its debut in twelve other cities around the world. The 25 year old, invite-only event is hosted on a public site revealed at the last minute on August 21. There’ll be plenty of chairs, picnic tables, dancing, live music, and more, but everyone brings their own basket of food to share.
