I’m not really sure I should tell you guys about this as I’m assuming you will now all rush to go and there might not be a spot left for me. But I love Freddy’s so much, I must tell you. Freddy’s having a BBQ!!! Can you imagine an entire afternoon of gorging yourself on Charlie Parker’s grilled tri tip, Maryland blue crab and more? Did I just go to heaven?

“Adventurous foodies” will delight in the “innovative” American fare (“try the bacon cashews”) at this “hip but welcoming” new West LA “neighborhood bar and kitchen” by owner Jeff Weinstein (The Counter) and chef Charlie Parker; with its “vintage” design, “nicely curated cocktail menu” and “jagged” but “cool” music selection, the “tiny” room feels like “stepping into a speakeasy”, so it’s “excellent for dates.”

Eater National Announces 2013 Semi-Finalists
And guess who made the cut? Oh yeah…Charlie Parker of Freddy Smalls!! If you know me and didn’t spend the last year in the Arctic tundra, you’ve heard me talk about, recommend and just gush about Charlie Parker AND Freddy Smalls probably about a hundred times. I was lucky enough to have Charlie oversee the VERY FIRST Eat+Drink Supper Club dinner in March and it was an incredible experience. Charlie was also recently listed on Zagat’s Best 30 under 30 list for Los Angeles. That man is on the move!

The Inaugural Eat+Drink Supper Club - A Smashing Success!
Wow, what an amazing afternoon and evening last night for the first Eat+Drink Supper Club with Charlie Parker from Freddy Smalls. If you weren’t able to attend, you really missed a special event. Not only was the food amazing, the wine delicious but we even had the dreamy Naia Kete stop by and play us a few songs - an impromptu concert in our backyard! Here’s Naia’s cover of Justin Timberlake’s Suit and Tie - delish.

Charlie was recently listed on Zagat’s 30 Under 30 list of hot up-and-coming chefs and is kicking off the Eat+Drink Supper Club with a special Sunday edition. On Sunday March 24th, we’ll start at 4:00p and I have 24 seats available. $100 per person includes EVERYTHING, all you have to do is bring your hungry, thirsty self.
